AS Roma and AC Milan are eyeing up Nottingham Forest defender Ola Aina in the January transfer window thanks to his contract expiring next summer.
That’s according to AS Roma Live, who say the full back is considered a possible market opportunity by both sides.
They explain that Roma are particularly focused on players whose contracts are expiring on 30 June 2025 or who are on the fringes of the sides they are playing for.
Aina is one of the latter, with the ‘electric winger’ one of the first names on the club’s list of targets for January or next summer.
He is liked because of the economic reasons, his contract is expiring so he can be signed for cheap, and that he can play on both flanks. These characteristics have also attracted Milan’s attention.
They’ve been watching him for Nottingham Forest this season and the Rossoneri ‘remain vigilant’ about his contract situation.
They may need a replacement for Davide Calabria before too long, with him on the verge of leaving on a free transfer next summer, and so Aina is an opportunity being ‘carefully monitored’ by AC Milan’s management.
Roma are aware of this and could look to get ahead of the Serie A side with a ‘winter offensive’ for the Nottingham Forest defender in the January transfer window.
