Last week, Como manager Cesc Fabregas openly hinted at Manchester United’s interest in Assane Diao. It now seems as if Nottingham Forest have also joined the race for the winger.
The 19-year-old has made a mark for the Italian side since arriving from Real Betis in January.
He has scored six Serie A goals and has racked up one assist as well.
It hasn’t taken a long time for English clubs to take notice and TuttoJuve have reported that Nottingham Forest have also ‘shown their interest’ in the teenager.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side are readying a €40m approach for the wide player, whose transfer to England can still benefit Real Betis because the Spanish side still own 20% of his rights.
Nottingham Forest’s interest is likely to blow Juventus out of the water in the race, with the Bianconeri having previously hoped that the Tricky Trees could offer that €40m to them for Dusan Vlahovic.
The English side have no interest in doing that and this comes as a double blow to the Old Lady, who will have to focus on other targets.
