Orel Mangala does not want to leave Nottingham Forest this month and would prefer to stay where he is until the end of the season.
That’s according to Foot Mercato, who say a departure is ‘not on the agenda’ for the midfielder at this moment in time.
Mangala has been heavily linked with a move away from Nottingham Forest this month, with reports that manager Nuno Espirito Santo doesn’t have him in his plans and would be comfortable with a departure.
Several sides in Italy have subsequently been linked, with all indications being that a deal was there to be done and he was a name to keep an eye on.
Foot Mercato say differently, though, reporting that a move is ‘not on the agenda’ for the Belgian at this moment in time.
He has the ‘firm intention’ of remaining where he is and wants to finish the season with Nottingham Forest, playing as often as possible, to secure a place in Belgium’s squad for Euro 2024.
He seems to think his best chance of doing so is by remaining where he is, so that’s what he’ll be doing, which should put an end to any rumours about his future for the time being.
