A few days ago, reports emerged that Swansea had met with Le Havre manager Bob Bradley, as Francesco Guidolin’s position in charge of the Welsh team reached new levels of uncertainty.
The BBC claimed no decision had been taken during the exchange at Bristol airport, but, with the American manager and Ryan Giggs both rumoured to be in the running to take over from the underperforming Italian, it was a step pointing towards the sacking of the current man in charge.
Amid all of this, no one took time to think about how Le Havre felt about all of this until Thursday, when Paris-Normandie in France asked Le Havre’s director, Arnaud Tanguy, what the situation with their manager was at this moment in time.
He said: “Bob is under contract with us. No one has contacted the club about him, and he has never told us about anything. There is therefore nothing to worry about. Bob is well known in football, and it’s not surprising to see clubs being interested in him.”
The French newspaper Bradley ‘dreams’ of discovering the Premier League, where he has been linked with a few clubs in the past, notably Hull City and Aston Villa.
The former USMNT manager, after a brief spell with Egypt, decided to go back to basics by taking over at Stabaek in Norway, before moving to Le Havre in 2015, where his side are currently placed 7th in Ligue 2, with 13 points from their first nine games.
His contract with the French club comes to an end in June 2017.
