Manchester City target Jack Grealish has not made a decision yet on whether to sign a new contract at Aston Villa, a source has told Sport Witness.
The 25-year-old was linked with a move away from Villa Park in the 2020 summer transfer window, but he put an end to the rumours by signing an extension in September of that year. His current deal runs down in 2025.
Having starred for Dean Smith’s side, he’s caught City’s attention.
For the past week or so, reports in British press have discussed Pep Guardiola wanting to bring the England international to the Etihad.
Earlier today, a report in England stated Aston Villa have no intention of selling their star player, and they also remain hopeful their academy boy will end the Premier League winners’ chances of signing him by signing another new contract.
A source has told Sport Witness that ‘nothing is decided yet’ on signing a new deal with Villa and ‘anything is possible’ with regards to the attacking midfielder’s future.
The Villa star is with England, preparing for the European championship knockout clash against Germany later today.
Any movement regarding Grealish’s case, either to sign a new contract with Villa or move elsewhere, is much likelier to take place after the Three Lions finish their Euro 2020 campaign.
