IF Elfsborg’s Terry Yegbe has been linked with a move to Brighton & Hove Albion in the summer window.

These claims initially emerged in Ghana, where it was stated Elfsborg need €5.4m for the centre-back. Last week, Fotboll Direkt stated the Swedish club are asking around €6.5m-6.98m to sanction his sale.

At the weekend, the 25-year-old stated he’s pleased with the Brighton links but hasn’t heard anything from his agent about their interest.

There’s been rumours of an imminent agreement with Brighton for the defender to arrive at The Amex in the summer. Africa Foot have looked at this and contacted his camp for an update.

They state the player’s entourage ‘denies any contact’ with the Premier League club for his potential transfer.

The Ghana international is managed by AIT Management, a UK based agency with offices across Africa. A source close to the agency have shared an update on the recent reports linking Yegbe to Brighton.

‘We are flattered by such reports, as they indicate that Terry is performing well. But to be honest, there’s nothing concrete at the moment. No one has officially contacted the club or us, as he has a fixed-term contract. His goal is to play well and continue to improve while we wait for what the future holds,’ a source said.

Yegbe arrived at the Swedish club from Finnish club SJK Seinäjoki in February 2024 and signed a contract until December 2028. He made 45 appearances in all competitions for Elfsborg so far.
