For many months, reports coming from Italy have talked about Juventus interest in signing Jorginho as the Chelsea star is top of Maurizio Sarri’s wish list.
Joao Santos, the midfielder’s agent, has already admitted the Old Lady’s manager likes his client, but stressed he has had no contact with the Serie A winners.
The 28-year-old’s representative also revealed two other top clubs outside Italy have contacted him, yet he didn’t want to share the names.
On SportItalia, Italian journalist Alfredo Pedullà has responded to Santos’ comments, and Spazio Napoli have relayed his comments.
He claims the agent of the Blues player has been in contact with the Turin club for a couple of months now and there’s been continued updates.
Jorginho is keen on returning to Serie A this summer. The former Napoli man is said to have shown his total willingness to leave Stamford Bridge as he wants to work with Sarri again.
If Juve were to sign the Brazil-born Italy international, finding an agreement for personal terms with him ‘would not be a problem’.
Pedullà explained: “Joao Santos says he never spoke to Juve. It is normal to say so, considering that his client Jorginho has a three year contract with Chelsea, but the contacts have been made, they already date back to a couple of months ago with continuous updates.
“It is normal that Joao Santos has to tell a few lies when talking about the transfer market.”
