AC Milan are uninterested in doing a deal with Chelsea for striker Rafa Leao, despite the potential of bringing in €120m for him.

That’s according to Gazzetta Dello Sport, who say there is ‘too little time’ for the clubs to work out a deal before the end of the window.

Chelsea are chasing a new striker for Thomas Tuchel after letting both Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner depart Stamford Bridge this summer.

That’s left them with just Armando Broja up front and so far, Tuchel has shown a reluctance to use the youngster, despite his impressive season on loan with Southampton last year.

They’ve been linked with several strikers around Europe and several reports in Italy this week have made it clear AC Milan’s Rafa Leao is one of them.

That would be a difficult deal to get over the line because Milan are not keen on a sale, and Gazzetta back that up today.

They say the road to Chelsea is becoming ‘more and more uphill’ as there is ‘too little time’ for the two clubs to work out the €120m deal.

The Milan-London route is not an easy one, particularly because ‘there is no willingness’ on the part of Milan to sell Leao to Chelsea, despite the huge profit they would make from the deal.

Furthermore, the English sirens never seem to have distracted the player, something his manager, Stefano Pioli, has confirmed.

In other words, neither he or his club are interested in the potential deal and Chelsea would be wise to look elsewhere for the striker they need.
