Valencia are now finding some ‘problems’ in their chase for Watford midfielder Étienne Capoue.

Deporte Valenciano writes today that the Spanish side don’t want to pay for a 32-year-old, and keep looking for a loan deal with no clauses for a permanent transfer.

The issue is that the Hornets continue trying to negotiate a different formula. The website takes claims from reporter Hugo Ballester to say the Championship side demanded €4m for the transfer.

The website says there’s ‘no way’ Valencia will pay that much for Capoue, so the negotiations between the clubs shall continue.

The La Liga side know they’d have to pay for 100% of Capoue’s wages, but they seem so afraid of a transfer fee that they don’t want to even have an option to buy him at the end of the spell.

Deporte Valenciano reports Valencia and Watford are also negotiating the transfer of striker Luis Suarez, and that’s a totally different negotiation. Since he’s a younger player, there should be an obligatory purchase included in a loan spell.
