After scoring four goals in his first eight league matches, Timo Werner has managed only one goal in his next 20 appearances for Chelsea.

The forward has not been able to impress in his debut season at the London club.

With the Blues allegedly wanting to sign Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland, reports in England suggested Chelsea are ready to offer Werner plus €100m for the Bundesliga striker.

Claims made in the British press have reached Germany and Bild have decided to take a look at this.

According to the report, Thomas Tuchel doesn’t have any intention to cut ties with the Germany international. He wants the ex-RB Leipzig star to continue at Stamford Bridge.

Tuchel’s bosses at Chelsea are said to have promised him a big name signing in the next market.

Therefore, it’s ‘no surprise’ Tuchel ‘wants’ the Norway international, who is also on the target list of other top clubs, like Manchester United and Real Madrid.

Bild states it’s ‘very unlikely’ Borussia Dortmund bosses will allow Haaland to join Chelsea because of the ‘unpleasant’ separation they had with Tuchel in 2017.

BVB aren’t presented as still being bitter over what happened with Tuchel and that could impact Chelsea’s efforts to sign Haaland.
