Newcastle United may want to up the charm offensive if they wish to sign Kim min-Jae from Bayern Munich this summer.

That’s if his latest comments to SportBILD are anything to go by, with him insisting that he has “no reason to leave” the German giants.

The newspaper explains that few players are currently being discussed and criticised as much as Kim, who has been questioned heavily following the Champions League exit to Inter Milan.

The 28-year-old was seen as culpable for both goals conceded in that game and it has led to reports Bayern would be open to a sale if the right offer is made this summer. Newcastle have been credited with an interest as they look to build on their success this season.

Indeed, a report earlier this month stated that Newcastle had already held concrete talks about the potential move. That insisted Bayern would be happy to sell too, and that Kim was open to moving to the Premier League.

He, though, seems to have a very different stance when it comes to transfer talk, insisting that he currently sees no reason why he should move on.

“For me, there’s no reason to leave,” he said.

“I hope I can stay. But we’ll see, I just want to be fit next season.”
