On Saturday we covered claims from Italy which stated Everton had intensified contacts to sign Edoardo Bove in the previous few hours, and were therefore moving ahead for the AS Roma player.

The midfielder was linked with the Toffees earlier on in the transfer window, and despite claims at the time it didn’t feel like anything serious was happening in the pursuit.

This time it feels the same, and there’s no big claims today in Italy on Everton rushing forward for the 22-year-old. Indeed, Sunday’s edition of Gazzetta dello Sport states the youngster is being pursued by Everton and Fulham, but that’s all they have on the case.

It appears it’s not an especially interesting situation for AS Roma fans, with the angle of interest being that if Bove is sold to Everton or Fulham then it would allow the Serie A club to move to take Manu Koné from Borussia Monchengladbach.

One to keep an eye on but it’s certainly not screaming transfer-on-the-way right now.
