VfB Stuttgart midfielder Naouirou Ahamada is yet to speak to the club about a potential move to Crystal Palace, despite reports of the Eagles interest in him.
That’s according to sporting director Fabian Wohlgemuth, who insists there is no agreement with any club about a potential transfer at present.
We covered a report from Foot Mercato in France that stated Ahamada will join Crystal Palace this month after an agreement had been found with Stuttgart for a move to happen.
That report made it clear that he deal was very much happening sooner rather than later, although there was no mention of what Crystal Palace would be paying for the 20-year-old.
It seems, though, those claims may have been wide of the mark and Wohlgemuth has poured cold water on them.
BILD have been in contact with the German club chief today to ask about the Crystal Palace rumour, and he insisted there is nothing in the pipeline.
“Every club is currently exploring its options,” he told the newspaper.
“But there is no agreement with any club. The player has also not approached us with the request that he wants to leave.”
