Brentford manager Thomas Frank has admitted he’s happy with the reports linking him to Tottenham Hotspur.

Viaplay interviewed the 49-year-old prior to his side’s league defeat to Manchester United on Wednesday.

The Brentford coach was asked about the recent claims linking him to the vacant job at Tottenham, and his comments are relayed by Bold.dk.

“I’m also just a human being, so of course it’s nice and flattering,” he said.

Tottenham have appointed Cristian Stellini as acting head coach after showing Antonio Conte the exit door on March 26th. A few days later, Chelsea and Leicester City parted ways with Graham Potter and Brendan Rodgers respectively.

As well from Spurs, Frank has been linked with becoming Rodgers’ successor at Leicester. The west London club, on the other hand, are looking at other candidates.

Despite being flattered with the Tottenham links, the Dane has insisted he’s happy with the Bees and also talked about the recent sackings in the Premier League.

“But I have to focus on Brentford and I’m insanely happy to be here. I say that constantly to my staff and my players. Managers are being fired everywhere, so it is an indication that it’s not working. I really appreciate being at Brentford,” Frank concluded.

Last December, Brentford renewed Frank’s contract until 2027. Two days after signing an extension, the 49-year-old revealed he’s got “big dreams” for his future and won’t retire with his current employer.

A month ago, Frank admitted he needs a “unique opportunity” to leave Brentford. These comments should come as encouragement for Tottenham and other clubs, if they wish to appoint the Dane as their new permanent manager.
