Genoa star Radu Drăgușin has told Romania’s Sport.ro that he’s pleased with recent claims linking him to Tottenham and other clubs.
For the past month or so, Spurs have been pushed forward as an option for the 21-year-old.
These links were encouraged after the centre-back’s agent revealed he had held talks with Tottenham over a potential deal.
Last Friday, Drăgușin’s agent Florin Manea opened the door for the north London club to sign his client. The representative had also insisted that Tottenham will have to make a decision on whether to go ahead with the operation in January.
When the Romania international was asked about claims of interest from the Premier League side and other clubs, he said: “It’s a nice feeling to know that what you do, you do well, and other teams notice this, but for me this is not personal.
“My goal is to develop as well as possible at Genoa and make the season as good as possible.”
According to Il Bianconero, Atalanta have joined Tottenham in the chase to sign the player in the winter market.
The defender is doing ‘very well’ at Genoa and it’s said the Serie A side will ‘not go below’ €25m to sanction his sale.
Ange Postecoglou has publicly requested a new centre-back in January and it needs to be seen whether Spurs would sign Drăgușin or another defender.
