Adrien Rabiot is on Manchester United’s list of potential targets this summer, although he is one of several options being explored.

That’s according to RMC Sport, who say the ‘next few weeks’ will be decisive in the midfielder’s future as it looks likely he will leave Juventus.

We covered a report yesterday that stated Rabiot was back on Manchester United’s radar as they look to strengthen their midfield at the end of the season, with Erik ten Hag in touch with the player and keen to get a deal done as soon as possible.

RMC pick up on that and say the midfielder is definitely on United’s radar, although he is not the only one, with Borussia Monchengladbach’s Manu Kone also an option. Randal Kolo Muani is also an option to bolster their forward line.

In terms of Rabiot, the next few weeks with be decisive as the 28-year-old is out of contract with Juventus in June and has a number of suitors at his door.

Manchester United are one of them, having also shown an interest last year, and director of football John Murtough even travelled to Turin to talk to the player and his mother, Veronique, who acts as his agent.

Juventus allowed those talks to take place, but the negotiations eventually broke down and he remained in Italy for this season.

Manchester United ‘are still there’ though and would be happy to sign him this summer as they plan to bolster Ten Hag’s squad for a potential return to the Champions League.

Rabiot ‘has not made any decision’ on his future so far and is likely to have a renewal offer on the table for Juventus after establishing himself as a key player under Massimiliano Allegri.

He is waiting to hear more details about the Bianconeri’s plans for next season, including whether Juve will be allowed to play in the Champions League, before making a decision.

Thus, Manchester United are looking at alternatives just in case and Kone is one of them they could target if a deal for Rabiot should fail.

He is likely to move from Germany ‘if the offer is good’ and United could face competition from PSG for him as they also look to strengthen their midfield.
