Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Leonardo Campana is reportedly on his way to Portugal.
According to the EFE news agency, the player is being loaned to Liga NOS side Famalicão until the end of the coming season.
That’s all the outlet has to say, claiming this is a move for the 20-year-old to get more playing time this season.
EFE also heard a source close to the process who said: “Leo is very grateful to his club Wolverhampton and his agents, for having achieved this temporary assignment in which he aims to contribute with his football, plays and goals to Famalicão from Portugal.”
Wolves signed Campana on a move from Ecuadorian side Barcelona at the start of the year, with the player signing a three-year deal.
He couldn’t get a single minute at the club this season, which isn’t something unusual for a 20-year-old who’s just arrived from South America, so it makes sense for him to seek minutes somewhere else.
Despite EFE’s confidence about the move, Portuguese outlets such as O Jogo are only reporting interest in the striker, without confirming that the transfer is happening.
