Newcastle United have included Paris Saint-Germain’s Kang-in Lee in their target list for the winter market.
That’s according to TuttoMercatoWeb, who state Newcastle have made an approach for the 23-year-old.
Operating mainly on the right wing and at times in other attacking positions, he managed six goals and two assists from 24 games this season.
PSG manager Luis Enrique has used Lee as a starter 14 times and as a substitute on 10 occasions this season and considers the player as an important part of his squad.
The Magpies are one of multiple Premier League sides to have sent an official to closely follow Lee in action for the Ligue 1 winners on several occasions. Eddie Howe’s side have already made first contact to ask about signing the South Korea international.
TMW state the Premier League side will ‘try to make a move in the next few days’ to sign the versatile attacker.
They add Lee’s asking price is at €40m and it could rise if there’s a bidding war for him. The outlet claims Manchester United have also made contact to sign Lee.
It’s to be noted the Red Devils have been linked to PSG’s Nuno Mendes and Randal Kolo Muani in recent days and TMW may have thrown them in mix for Lee.
