On Friday we covered claims from Portugal which said Inter Milan were struggling to reach an agreement with Sporting for the transfer of João Mário.
This story makes more sense if you see what’s being published in Italy now.
Gianluca Di Marzio claims that the difficulties to sign the Portuguese midfielder are making Inter turn their attentions to Moussa Sissoko from Newcastle United.
The Frenchman’s agents were reportedly in Milan on Friday afternoon, where they had a meeting with the club’s representatives. The journalist says there’s also the possibility to sign both the players, especially in the case Inter sell Marcelo Brozović.
After having an impressive Euro 2016 in France, Sissoko has been linked to so many clubs this summer that it’s difficult to believe he’s finally leaving Newcastle. This week, L’Equipe already said he’s wanted by Borussia Dortmund, Everton, Crystal Palace and Liverpool.
The same goes for Inter, the club are perhaps linked with more players than any other. It happens every window and often transfers which are claimed as done, fall apart before really getting anywhere.
