Bayern Munich’s struggle to sign Kieran Trippier from Newcastle United is today detailed by Bild journalist Christian Falk.
On Twitter, the journalist shares the big demands there are for this transfer, making a deal quite difficult for the Bundesliga side.
Falk writes that Trippier is making a big request, as he wants a €10m salary at Bayern Munich.
Newcastle, meanwhile, are said to be demanding €15m for the transfer this month.
It’s claimed that Bayern Munich only wanted a loan, so it now becomes unclear whether they’d make this investment for Trippier’s arrival. Indeed, when the claims started in Germany it was even suggested the player could arrive on a free loan, and its now becoming clear that’s far from reality.
Falk mentions it would be a €30m package for the Bundesliga side, considering the transfer fee plus one and a half seasons with that salary, as his contract there would run until the summer of 2025.
Earlier reports from Bild had claimed that Bayern Munich were still focused on signing Nordi Mukiele from Paris Saint Germain, and would delay a potential attempt for Trippier. Now with such a cost for the Newcastle player, perhaps they’ll keep chasing their main priority.
