Manchester City’s Vitor Reis may be headed for a return to Brazil this summer transfer window after failing to break into the first team under Pep Guardiola.

After being signed by the Citizens for €37 million from Palmeiras in January, the defender could be sent back to his home country at the end of the season, according to reports.

Per Brazilian outlet RTI Esporte, Flamengo are now internally discussing the possibility of signing the 19-year-old.

But they are not the only ones. Reis has also reportedly attracted interest from clubs in the United States, such as Chicago Fire, DC United, Inter Miami, and New York City FC, as well as unnamed clubs in Europe.

It’s thought that any deal is more likely to be a loan move, mainly because Reis’s contract runs until June 2029 at the Etihad.

He left Palmeiras as a key starter but is yet to convince Guardiola to give him game-time and develop in England.

The teenager has played just 226 minutes across the entire season for City – that includes just a single Premier League match, one in Premier League 2, and two games in the FA Cup.
