Two days ago, TuttoMercatoWeb stated AC Milan have identified Newcastle United’s Allan Saint-Maximin as a target for the winter market.
On Wednesday, Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna explained the Rossoneri have a concrete interest in the winger and could possibly make an offer to the Magpies.
The 25-year-old’s game time at Newcastle this season was restricted by almost back-to-back injuries. He hasn’t started in the league since regaining full fitness in October.
It’s not clear why the Frenchman’s minutes have been restricted by Eddie Howe, but it could be the main reason for interest from elsewhere.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Saint-Maximin has been ‘proposed’ to the Italian club and his agents have already held talks with them. Newcastle are requesting over €30m for the attacker and this is ‘very high’ for Stefano Pioli’s side.
Milan are also working to bring AS Roma’s Nicolò Zaniolo to the San Siro in January. If they fail to sign the Italian and Newcastle lower their demands, Milan would bet on Saint-Maximin.
