As Newcastle United continue with their work to be one of the strongest competitors in the transfer market, a La Liga player is now added to their wish list.
As reported today by outlet Fichajes, the Magpies now have in their sights Mallorca attacker Kang-in Lee, and it’s said the South Korea international is a player who ‘perfectly’ fits the profile wanted by the club.
Newcastle, however, aren’t alone in that race, since Wolverhampton Wanderers are interested in the player as well.
Fichajes writes that following the rumours regarding Adama Traore’s departure, Kang-in Lee could be one of the players wanted by Wolves to replace their star.
Kang-in Lee left Valencia for free at the end of the last season, and ended up proving to be a good signing for Mallorca, where he quickly became a regular starter and already has one goal and three assists this season.
For now, it isn’t said how much Newcastle or Wolves would need to spend to take him from the La Liga side, but Transfermarkt, which teams use, have given him a current market value of €9m.
