The Italian media insists that Newcastle United are in the fight with other Premier League sides for the signing of Hirving Lozano.
That’s said today by outlet Il Mattino, who reacts to news from the English media saying other clubs are wiling to buy the Napoli star.
It’s been said that Chelsea want the player, and the Italian outlet responds by saying that Newcastle, as well as Arsenal, are interested in him as well.
The outlet adds that Lozano ‘would accept’ a move to the Premier League, following his experiences in the Eredivisie and Serie A.
With the player’s contract with Napoli expiring in 2024, it’s said that in case the club do not find an agreement for a renewal, then the club will ‘put him on the market’ and ‘sell to the highest bidder’, meaning the next summer ‘will be decisive’.
Just this week, we’ve seen reports from the Italian media saying the price demanded by the Serie A side would be of at least €50m.
So Newcastle better get prepared to that, especially in case the price is increased by the English competition.
