With some release clauses set to run out in the next few days, there are clubs, such as Newcastle United and Aston Villa, probing the market to see if transfers can be done.
Among the players who have such details in their contract is Paulo Dybala, with Corriere della Sera covering the latest on the Argentine’s situation in Rome.
They hint that times are tense at AS Roma, because his €13m release clause for foreign clubs ‘will expire on January 15th’.
Because of this, there has been a fair amount of activity around the player, with Chelsea, Aston Villa and Newcastle all coming forward to ask Dybala’s agents for information in the ‘last few hours’.
They aren’t the only ones, as there are some Saudi clubs also sniffing around to see if they can lure yet another star to their league, although considering the player’s desire to stay in Europe, that seems like an unlikely move.
This leaves the door a bit more open for Newcastle and Aston Villa, but it will all depend on what Dybala wants to do, since he has the final say in his future until January 15th.
