Italian striker Alberto Paloschi signed for Swansea from Chievo Verona in a €9.5m deal in the winter transfer window, but he is expected to pack his bags again soon.
The Italian media have linked the 26-year-old with a return to Serie A, and the player could complete a move to Atalanta soon.
According to an exclusive on Italian website Tutto Mercato Web, Paloschi is very close to Atalanta, who have decided to spend big on the Swansea striker.
The Serie A club could pay as much as €7-8m for the 26-year-old, and Atalanta’s new boss, Gian Piero Gasperini, has also given the green light to the transfer.
It seems Swansea are more than happy to take a nominal loss on the player, who they signed six months ago.
Paloschi scored two goals in seven league starts for the Premier League team, and it seems having an Italian manager at the club was of no help.
