Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas has been reportedly offered to Real Madrid. According to the claims, the Spaniard would be unhappy at Stamford Bridge and would like to leave Chelsea before new manager Antonio Conte takes charge.

According to OK Diário, the Spanish club received a proposal this week but have no interest in signing the 29-year-old. They haven’t even considered the possibility of opening talks with Chelsea.

The Spanish side’s board are said to be surprised by the offer. Fabregas would like to leave Chelsea because he’s not comfortable at the club since José Mourinho’s departure and would not be part of Antonio Conte’s plans for the next season.

From what we’ve covered from the Italian media, it was never mentioned that Antonio Conte would want to get rid of Fabregas, even though there was a big list of names who were said to be leaving after the Italian manager’s arrival.

There’s also the rivalry factor. Despite spending the greatest years of his career at Arsenal, Fabregas grew up in Barcelona’s youth teams and played at the club for three years, between 2011 and 2014, before signing for Chelsea.

If this news was surprising for the Real Madrid board, it’s also very hard to believe for all those who follow the transfer market.

Fabregas is far from his best days and he’s obviously not the kind of signing that Real Madrid are planning at the moment.

The whole story looks like one more article to make Real Madrid look good, whilst also making a former Barcelona player look a little desperate.
