It’s too soon to know if Zlatan Ibrahimovic will have an Eric Cantona-esque impact on Manchester United, but one thing is certain, he’s well on his way to doing so.

The Swedish striker, who teamed up once again with José Mourinho, has already scored four goals in his first four official games, and the aura surrounding him has, if anything, grown even bigger since the move was completed.

Winning the league title at every club he’s previously been at (even if the Juventus ones were later stripped from him), the former Paris Saint-Germain star is clearly a difference maker.

And that is exactly what Roberto Mancini pointed out when interviewed by Corriere dello Sport on Wednesday, when discussing players that could have helped his Inter Milan team close the gap on Juventus in Serie A.

He said: “Yaya, like Zlatan Ibrahimovic, is one of the players who can make the difference, who can change the outcome of a league by themselves. Like Messi and Ronaldo.”

The former Manchester City manager was discussing his attempts at trying to sign the Ivorian midfielder from his old club last summer, but couldn’t help throwing in there the player who helped him win two Serie A titles between 2006 and 2008, scoring 32 goals in 53 league appearances.

The big question now is: can Zlatan do it again at Manchester United? So far, so good.
