Alavés are the latest club to show an interest in signing Victor Camarasa once his time at Crystal Palace comes to an end.
Camarasa joined Palace on loan from Real Betis in the summer transfer window after an impressive season with Cardiff City last season.
He has failed to impress at Selhurst Park, though, managing just two appearances and 95 minutes of football to date.
It is expected he will leave Crystal Palace this month as a result, although so far no agreement is in place for that to happen.
Several clubs are looking to sign Camarasa when that happens, and according to ABC, Alavés are one of them.
They report that the Spanish side have ‘taken an interest’ in the midfielder, with them looking to replace Tomás Pina after he picked up an injury.
They want a midfielder with experience in Spain and who can adapt quickly, and Camarasa fits that profile perfectly.
Betis don’t want the midfielder to be ‘devalued’, and that is why they are looking to take him out of Crystal Palace and put him somewhere else.
Contact between Alavés and Betis has already been made, although the operation is not yet completed and they may have to wait, with earlier reports suggesting Camarasa is waiting to choose his next destination.
