Brighton & Hove Albion target Davide Frattesi had some things to say about his future today.
That’s because of an interview he gave during the Bulgarelli Awards in Bologna. As reported by Tutto Mercato Web, as the midfielder spoke to the local media, journalists asked several questions about where he’ll play next.
“Now I want to finish well at Sassuolo, then we’ll see. I promised the director not to talk about the transfer market and I want to keep my word.
“In my life I’ve always done everything step by step, starting from B and then moving up to A. Now I’m at a good level, then we’ll see in the summer. Interest is super nice, I’d be lying to say the opposite. It shows that you need to keep working like this.”
Following the recent links with Brighton, Frattesi was asked whether the best option for him would be to stay in Serie A or move to the Premier League.
“I honestly haven’t thought about it, the Premier League is a league of important level and you have to arrive there at 100%. You have to be prepared, I think it’s right to make another step before going there but in life as in the transfer market you never know.”
He was also asked if he’s spoken to Gianluca Scamacca, who left Sassuolo for West Ham last summer.
“Yes, the Premier League fascinates me. For the intensity and hard work, how I see football. This year hasn’t been very lucky for him but I’m convinced that next year he will do as well as he did at Sassuolo.”
Just last week, we;’d covered reports from Italy claiming Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi is ‘pushing to bring’ Frattesi to the Premier League this summer.
Sassuolo have been making it public that the midfielder is wanted in the Premier League, so it’s getting pretty clear that they shall receive offers for his transfer very soon.
Brighton are believed to have competition from Juventus, and that definitely makes it a tough fight for the signing. Previous reports claimed the Seagulls are willing to spend €40m on this transfer.
