Watford’s chase for Le Equidad midfielder Élan Ricardo seems to be escalating quite quickly.
On Thursday, we covered initial reports from Colombia which said the Hornets are showing the most interest in the youngster.
Now as journalist Pipe Sierra features some fresh news on this pursuit, he shares the stance from Ricardo’s entourage, and it seems there’s a real move to bring him to Vicarage Road.
It’s first said the player’s staff confirms that it’s ‘not certain’ that a transfer to Watford is already agreed.
Still, Ricardo’s entourage very much acknowledge ‘there is a negotiation’ going on, although they haven’t even negotiated personal terms yet. It’s also claimed that there’s another club in the competition.
This update is actually quite surprising, because the other reports from Colombia didn’t mention the talks are at such an advanced stage for his entourage to now deny an agreement.
Sierra is usually on the money regarding transfers of Colombian players, so it does sound like Watford have opened negotiations for the 20-year-old. Now we shall wait for more details about how much the Hornets could pay to take him to England in the summer window.
