When reporting it, outlet El Universal writes that Canada wants to ‘steal’ the player from Mexico. They’re holding a training camp in January in preparation for the 2021 Olympics in Tokyo.
They highlight the fact that Flores is still to player an official international match. So he can choose for Canada, where he was born; Mexico, his father’s country; or England, where his mother is from.
El Universal say that despite his age, Flores should soon make his debut for Arsenal, as he’s been training with the first team lately.
