ESPN Brasil today features a short and simple story with Nottingham Forest fullback Renan Lodi.
The outlet had a conversation with the 25-year-old and had a very specific question to ask him.
The website wanted to know who’s the most difficult player Lodi has ever maked since joining Nottingham Forest at the start of the season. And the Brazilian chose a Manchester City player.
“In my opinion, the hardest player I’ve marked was City’s Mahrez. He’s a player who is pulling things out of his hat at all times. You don’t know if you go quickly, if you wait for him to touch the ball more. If you move first, you get nutmegged, you get one-twoed,” Renan Lodi told ESPN Brasil.
Lodi, however, still highlighted the quality of several players he’s been facing since moving to the Premier League.
“So not only him, but there are great players who play for me here in the Premier League who are talented.”
Those were literally the only quotes in ESPN Brasil’s story. Since that also mentions Manchester City, who are playing in the Champions League today, that’s likely to be a little part taken from a bigger interview to be aired later, so we’ll be keeping an eye on that in the coming days.
Still in the fight against relegation, Renan Lodi and Nottingham Forest now prepare for their challenges against Chelsea, Arsenal and Crystal Palace in the coming week.
Luckily for the Brazilian, he won’t have to face again Mahrez anytime soon.
