Aston Villa, Liverpool and Newcastle United are all reportedly keen on Sevilla’s Loïc Badé in the winter market.
Last weekend, AS reported Liverpool and Newcastle are ‘betting heavily’ on the defender.
The Villans have started discussions with the La Liga side over a deal for him this month. Earlier today, Diario de Sevilla stated Aston Villa officials Monchi and Damian Vidagany’s latest trip to Seville is seen as key to sign the defender.
Another newspaper, ABC Sevilla, now brings the latest on Unai Emery’s side, Liverpool and Newcastle.
Aston Villa’s talks for the Frenchman were first reported by L’Equipe yesterday and ABC Sevilla are backing it up.
Aston Villa haven’t yet made an offer because ABC say they want to sell Diego Carlos before signing the Frenchman. However, Monchi has already started negotiations with his former club for the 24-year-old, who is also liked by Liverpool and Newcastle.
Earlier claims from Spain have talked about the Reds and Eddie Howe’s side looking at the player. It feels like Liverpool and Newcastle interest has been exaggerated for a while.
If Monchi were to quickly offload Carlos, he can make concrete progress in signing Badé for Aston Villa.
