With the signing of Matthijs de Ligt close to completion, Juventus are now turning their attention towards outgoings.
And, according to Gazzetta Dello Sport, that could see them put Moise Kean up for sale this summer.
Kean’s future has been a hot discussion for most of this summer already given he only has a year left on his current contract and is yet to sign an extension, despite Juve working hard to make that happen.
However, while a renewal doesn’t happen, Gazzetta say that Juventus are ‘thinking about the possibility of putting a sign with the word ‘for sale’ around the neck of Moise Kean’.
Everton are again named as an interested party, with the newspaper saying they and Borussia Dortmund ‘have shown concrete interest’.
The newspaper doesn’t mention what sort of price the Serie A champions would put on Kean’s head, although for most of this summer it’s been suggested they want at least €40m and a buyback clause in any deal.
Kean’s stance on the situation is not mentioned either, although his agent Mino Raiola has told TuttoMercatoWeb “he is on the same level as De Ligt. He is a great champion, we’ll see,” when they asked him about his future.
Whether that future is at Everton remains to be seen but the fact that Juventus are now considering a sale should give them hope.
They’d likely have to put up a big offer to match Juventus’ valuation, never mind put a lot of effort into convincing Kean, particularly if a club like Dortmund, who can offer Champions League football, are keen too.
This certainly isn’t a deal that will get done overnight but Juve at least considering a sale is a move towards it happening and the Blues will take that.
