With just over a week left in the transfer window, Crystal Palace are getting into gear and appear to be close to secure a new signing.
That’s according to Foot Mercato in France, who explain that Patrick Vieira and the Eagles are ‘on the heels’ of a Stuttgart player named Naouirou Ahamada.
The young French midfielder ‘should very soon sign’ with Crystal Palace, having become a regular with the Bundesliga side this season despite being only 20 years of age.
However, Stuttgart are currently 16th in the table, and it’s stated this difficult situation could be ‘the driving force’ behind this exit to England for the player.
There’s no mention of how much Crystal Palace would be spending on it or how advanced it is, but the website, with their headline of ‘Naouirou Ahamada will sign for Crystal Palace’ suggests this is well on its way.
Furthermore, one of the journalists on the article, Santi Aouna, tweeted that an ‘agreement has been found’ between the two sides.

The young defensive midfielder, born in Marseille, arrived in Stuttgart from Juventus’ U23s for €1.5m in 2021, and quickly made a name for himself there, clearly catching the eye of Vieira’s scouts over at Selhurst Park.
