Finally, there comes some good news from Italy for Manchester United supporters.
With the club going through a difficult end to the summer transfer window, looking for both a midfielder and a left-back, they’ve been trying to find a formula to sign Sofyan Amrabat from Fiorentina.
TMW now report the negotiations between the two clubs have been ‘unblocked’ and they state very confidently that the midfielder will become a ‘new player for Manchester United’.
They don’t have any details of the deal at this stage, with it being a breaking claim, but it’s stated that a medical for Amrabat has already been scheduled for Friday.
That’s obviously essential given the window is closing at 11pm tomorrow.
TMW report that final details are being defined, and there’ll be more details on the formula of the deal soon. Despite that, it’s worth noting again how confident they are with their claims.
Manchester United fans and Erik ten Hag will certainly hope they’re right, and Amrabat will soon to be flying to England to end the saga.
Elsewhere in Italy it’s being reported Fulham have made an offer worth nearly €30m for Amrabat, but that the player has his heart set on Manchester United.
Update: TMW have since deleted their article, which is very unusual. We’ll keep checking for further news on this transfer.
Since that, David Ornstein has reported the transfer to Manchester United is back on track.
