Portuguese newspaper O Jogo brings today a big story about Tosin Kehinde, a Nigerian youngster who has left Manchester United this summer.
After seeing his contract with the Red Devils expire, the 20-year-old is now joining Liga NOS side Feirense. Even though his signing hasn’t been made official yet, the midfielder has already played a friendly for the club.
Most of O Jogo’s story is about a few tips given by Cristian Cebalos, who made a similar move when leaving Tottenham to join Arouca back in 2013.
But the article also brings some interesting claims, saying that Manchester United actually wanted to keep Kehinde in their youth set-up..
According to the newspaper, the Red Devils made an offer for Kehinde to stay in the U23 squad for longer.
Even Barcelona made an proposal for him to sign for Barça B.
The player, however, has chosen to move to a club where he’s immediately joining the senior level.
