Joining Manchester United in 2017 from Paris Saint-Germain’s U17s, Aliou Traoré looked to have a bright future ahead of him at Old Trafford.
Developing in the U18s and then the U23s, the Frenchman, who has an U19 cap for France, never quite managed to break through, and was sent on loan to SM Caen last year in Ligue 2.
Making 21 appearances for the French club, mostly from the bench, the now 20-year-old returned to Manchester United, where his contract expired in June.
A free agent for the best part of a month, the player is now expected to bounce back and look to continue his career in Switzerland, according to RMC Sport journalist Loïc Tanzi.

Taking to Twitter, the reporter simply explained the midfielder ‘will sign with FC Basel’ now that his contract with Manchester United has expired.
A good opportunity for the young player, who will want to show everyone he was worth taking a gamble on despite never quite making it in the north of England.
