Paulo Dybala’s contract with Juventus expires at the end of the current season, with the Argentina international one of the stars of world football who have deals expiring in the summer.
Tottenham Hotspur have long been linked with the Juventus player, and the idea of a move to Spurs was reignited when Fabio Paratici arrived at the London club.
The Tottenham director will have worked on renewals for Dybala in the past, so will naturally have good connections with the player’s camp.
Calciomercato report that Tottenham, with Paratici named, are keen on the player ahead of the summer.
It’s pointed out that talks with Juventus over a renewal aren’t going well at all and that presents the opportunity of a free-agent move elsewhere.
A meeting will be held ‘in the next few days’ between Juventus and Dybala’s agent.
According to the report, the Turin club are set to be present a new renewal offer, but it will be lower than the previous one which wasn’t accepted. The relationship between player and club has been ‘freezing’ over the winter, and shows no signs of ‘thawing’.
That would be good news for Paratici and Tottenham.
