On Thursday, we relayed news from Italy that Rasmus Højlund will be sold to Manchester United for around €70m in the next few days.
Later that day, claims from France stated Paris Saint-Germain have made a bid and the striker has agreed a deal with both PSG and the Red Devils.
Alfredo Pedullà states the Serie A side haven’t received an offer from Paris Saint-Germain and insists the 20-year-old’s preference is to join Manchester United rather than move to the French capital.
The Denmark international also has an agreement in place with the Premier League side, which has already been widely reported.
The journalist adds Manchester United have ‘played a bit of hide and seek’ in recent days, after being made aware Højlund has ‘only one club in mind’.
Atalanta have requested €70m plus €5m bonuses and are waiting for the ‘official offer’ from Erik ten Hag’s side. Pedullà says this will ‘almost certainly arrive by Saturday’.
The English club had made a verbal offer of €40m plus bonuses. Another journalist, Rudy Galetti, took to Twitter to state Manchester United are ‘ready to improve’ the proposal to €55m plus €10m to get closer to Atalanta’s request for Højlund.
