Manchester United have become the latest English club to be credited with an interest in Juventus’ Federico Chiesa.
The forward scored four goals and registered six assists from 36 games last season. Today’s Corriere dello Sport state he wasn’t satisfied with his performances last season and also had a ‘poor feeling’ with Massimiliano Allegri.
Therefore, the 25-year-old is looking around and Manchester United could be one of the options for him.
It’s said the Red Devils, along with Liverpool and Newcastle United, are ‘at the window’ for the Italy international.
He has a deal until 2025 and the newspaper states he ‘can leave’ the Serie A side if they were to receive a €50m bid this summer.
Although Chiesa mainly operates on the wings, he could also be used across the attacking line.
Erik ten Hag currently has these positions well covered and is reportedly focusing on signing a recognised striker. Atalanta’s Rasmus Højlund has been identified as one of the targets.
Therefore, it wouldn’t make sense for Manchester United to consider Chiesa, unless they were to offload one of their first-choice wingers.
