Sergi Ramos and Florentino Perez have fallen out again, so of course Manchester United have been dragged into the equation.
In their Saturday edition, Marca reiterate the Premier League club have made contact to ask about a potential transfer, along with PSG.
Whereas in 2015, Manchester United were used to get Ramos a bumper contract with Madrid, this time it’s unclear just what they’re being used for, but it’s likely that’s the case… rather than a genuine transfer possibility… although stranger things have happened.
Ramos is said to have held a ‘face to face’ meeting with Perez two weeks ago. The footballer’s father and brother, also his agent, attended.
It’s claimed that at the meeting, Ramos made clear he has doubts about continuing at Real Madrid beyond the summer. Those involved agreed to continue talks, and it’s stated a telephone conversation was held on Friday.
The defender turned 33 years of age in March, and has a contract until 2021 which takes to the age of 35.
Asking for another year already would seem like a bit of a push.
