According to a claim in the Turkish media, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are showing an interest in Galatasaray winger Barış Alper Yılmaz.
The Turkey international has been linked with a move to Brighton & Hove Albion in the past week following reports of an offer from the Seagulls.
Haber Sarikirmizi have reported on comments made by Turkish journalist Uğur Karakullukçu when quizzed about interest from Manchester United and Tottenham.
Karakullukçu said he’d received information the two Premier League clubs where in attendance last night to see Turkey take on the Czech Republic and that they will continue to monitor Yılmaz after the player impressed.
“Manchester United and Tottenham watched Baris Alper in the match between Czechia and Turkey. I had it confirmed. If it continues like this, it looks like they will continue to watch,” said the Turkish journalist.
Galatasaray could look to cash in on Yılmaz this summer after reports they are looking to replace the right winger. We covered reports this week from Turkey stated they are in talks to sign Bodrum F.K winger Gökdeniz Bayraktar after Brighton made a €20m offer for Yılmaz. Gala are reportedly holding out for €25m.
He started 28 Super Lig games last season, scoring seven goals. Yılmaz is contracted to Galatasaray until June 2027.
