It seems there will be a pretty big race to sign Leon Goretzka from Schalke 04 next summer.
With his contract expiring at the end of the season, the German midfielder is attracting the interest from several European sides, including clubs from the Premier League.
Turin newspaper Tuttosport has a story saying Juventus have been keeping an eye on the player for over two years, and are expected to make an attempt once he’s free to sign.
But the heavy competition is a concern, as according to the outlet, other Champions League clubs such as Manchester United and Barcelona are also interested in him.
But Manchester United are actually not the Premier League club who have been most linked to the 22-year-old lately.
Recent reports have put Arsenal and Liverpool as serious contenders, so Manchester United could be being added for dramatics.
Another story in the same issue of Tuttosport claims that Juve have no conditions to battle Premier League sides in terms of salary, so in case there’s an auction, it’s very likely that they will be left behind in the race.
Despite Manchester United and others being linked, Bayern Munich remains the likeliest destination.
