Manchester United ‘are still interested’ in Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, despite his value now soaring to €150m.

That’s according to Il Messaggero, relayed by Calciomercato who say any discussion about a potential deal has been postponed until the summer transfer window. It’s stated Manchester United ‘want him in the Premier League’.

Osimhen has been one of the stars of the show for Napoli this season, with 13 goals in 15 league games making him the top goalscorer in Serie A so far.

His performances have made his value ‘skyrocket’ and if the figure was set at €100m last summer it is now said to be at least €150m.

That’s a price point which should stop plenty of his suitors making a move but not Manchester United, who ‘were and still are interested’ in the Nigerian striker.

That tallies with reports over this month, with it stated that they could end up involved in a battle with Real Madrid for the striker and that followed up by assurances that they “certainly want” to sign him in the summer.

Now Il Messsaggero have added that but send a warning that Osimhen’s continued excellence is only adding to his price tag so Manchester United will have to delve very deep into their pockets if they want him.

We’re sure that’s something they’re willing to do given how much they’ve backed Erik ten Hag so far, but it is a huge figure that will certainly require consideration in the coming months.
