As Manchester United and Inter Milan slowly advance towards an agreement for the transfer of André Onana, Sky Italia now brings positive updates on how likely the move is.
According to the outlet, the Red Devils’ latest effort was putting on the table €50m plus bonuses.
Inter Milan continue to request €60m, but the ‘impression’ is that in case Manchester United raise their bid to €55m, including bonuses, then the operation ‘could close’.
The feeling is so optimistic that, according to Sky Italia, both the Red Devils and the Nerazzurri believe the deal could be made ‘in the next few hours’, with white smoke ‘at the beginning of next week’.
The report makes it clear that there’s ‘still nothing definitive’, but they show all the signs that a positive outcome is close.
Now we must say that with Sky Italia speaking of an offer worth €50m plus bonuses, and adding that a bid worth €55m with those bonuses included would be accepted, it really sounds like the difference is ridiculously small.
If Inter Milan are indeed about to take that, this deal now only depends on a slightly stronger final effort from Manchester United.
