Fabrice Hawkins is reporting on Wednesday afternoon that Manchester United and Juventus have reached an agreement for the transfer of Jadon Sancho.
The wide player has been repeatedly linked with the Turin club in recent weeks, with the story heating up somewhat in the past few days. There’s been talk in the Italian media of a straight loan, with Juventus not having an option or obligation to buy next summer.
Hawkins now says the agreement will include an obligation to buy, although the journalist doesn’t attach any figure to that at this stage. That would be a huge boost for Manchester Untied because it provides the opportunity to once and for all deal with their Sancho problem, without the potential of him returning to Old Trafford later.
Juventus may well have been helped by Federico Chiesa’s move to Liverpool. The Italian international has been trying to find a new club all summer, and his move to the Reds frees up a big salary space in Turin.
