Following the loans of both Donny van de Beek and Hannibal, there has been talk that Anthony Martial could also leave Manchester United in January.
His agent, Philippe Lamboley, quickly came out to state that wasn’t the case, and the Frenchman, whose contract at Old Trafford expires at the end of the season, would see out his deal.
What hasn’t helped the stories is that the representative has also been in Turkey, where the Manchester United forward has been linked with a move to the likes of Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe and Besiktas, as pointed out by Yağız Sabuncuoğlu on X, formerly Twitter.
In fact, Lamboley was recently a ‘special guest’ of the latter of that trio, and was pictured sitting in the stands watching their game against Adana Demirspor.
One of the reasons why he might have been there was to watch his client, Edouard Michut, who plays for Adana Demirspor, although that doesn’t exclude potential talks with Besiktas regarding Martial.
What doesn’t help the French striker in all this, if he were to get a move, is his recent surgery to repair a groin issue that was announced by Manchester United on Wednesday, potentially putting any move at risk.
