Christian Eriksen turned 32-years-of-age in February, and despite having a year left on his Manchester United contract there’s signs that perhaps his time at the top of the game is coming to an end.

Mostly used as a substitute this season, the Denmark international has struggled to get off the bench in the Premier League recently, with only 37 minutes since January.

That has encouraged exit rumours, and it’s assumed Manchester United will looking to move him on at the end of the season.

There’s likely to be multiple options, and Danish legend Brian Laudrup has sent some very clear advice to Eriksen… move to Ajax.

Laudrup played for Ajax at the end of career, indeed they were his last club, and he’s explained why Eriksen should follow a similar path.

Speaking to Tipsbladet, Laudrup said: “When I look at the possibilities and where he has come from and where he can do fantastically well for a few more years, then in my world Ajax will be a fantastic place. I also know that Ajax have mentioned that they are interested. After his cardiac arrest, he was in Amsterdam rehabilitating. He knows the city, he knows the language and he knows the club. They will almost receive him as a king returning home.”

Laudrup also mentioned Brentford as another possibility, should Eriksen be determined to stay in the Premier League. Their manager Thomas Frank hinted at the possibility earlier this season, and was disappointed when Eriksen snubbed a longer stay at Brentford to move to Old Trafford.
